...with Friedrich von Schiller
Supported by German Westphalian roots, I graduated as an Elementary School teacher in Muenster and Cologne. In Berlin I worked in schools that integrated special education students into the regular curriculum. During that time period I also studied Montessori, Waldorf and Freinet educational principles.
I have been a vice-principal at an elementary school and offered workshops for teachers. Lectures and workshops led by Prof. Dr. Gerald Hüther; Prof. Dr. Dr. Manfred Spitzer; and Vera F. Birkenbihl sparked my interest in brain science.
I investigated the connection between learning and brain functions and discovered the depth of this dynamic relationship.
This body of acquired knowledge and direct experience empowered me to develop my own program ‘begeistert denken’ (thinking with enthusiasm). For more than 10 years I have been helping people to find their true learning potential and actualize it. The turnaround between when students come to me and when they have completed our work together is dramatic.
They come in with the belief they cannot learn what is required and, after our work together, are able to study joyfully, remain relaxed and demonstrate their new knowledge successfully on exams and in real-life situations.
